Professional Biography:

Harriet Kallio is a Performance Manager in the Business Unit Co-owned Nuclear Assets & Development in a
Finnish Energy Company Fortum. She has extensive, over 30 years’ experience in the nuclear field. During
the years, she has worked both for new-built projects, as well as for the existing Finnish and Swedish nuclear
power fleets. She has also contributed to the steering of the national nuclear safety and nuclear waste R&D
programs, and reviewed Finnish, Swedish and European level authority requirements. Lately, the focus of her
activities and responsibilities has moved more to the back-end side. Thus, nuclear waste management, including
both final disposal of spent nuclear fuel as well as decommissioning questions, have taken an increasingly
growing part of her working time.
