Experience the Story of Abu Dhabi with an experienced guide, who will introduce you to carefully chosen highlights of the UAE’s capital.

The programme is divided into five essential chapters, the first chapter gives an insight to the Bedouin life and the desert as well as the traditional pearl diving activities, before moving on to the discovery of oil and development of the city The third chapter will educate the group on the formation of the UAE and chapter four concentrates on Islamic religion and culture. The final part will leave guests well informed about the present and the future of the capital.

The city tour leads you along remarkable buildings featuring some of the most stunning architecture. The drive along the popular Corniche and the famous Abu Dhabi skyline, gives great picture opportunities. Enjoy Abu Dhabi’s unique blend of culture and religion at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the largest mosque in the UAE, marvel at the impressive chandeliers and the world’s largest carpet consisting of more than 2 million knots. Glimpse into the past when visiting the Heritage Village, where you also can try henna painting or shop for fine traditional arts and crafts in the oriental market.

Pass by the traditional markets in the Mina area, such as the date market, the Iranian Souq or the vegetable market before stepping into the future at Manarat Al Saadiyat Head back to town with an unforgettable set of lmpressions.

What to Expect

Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates, is situated on a small peninsula surrounded by a cluster of islands. The city was founded in 1761 by a Sheikh (chieftain) of the nomadic Bani Yas tribe. Before entering the city of Abu Dhabi we drive past the stunning “Grand Mosque”, officially known as the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque. It’s the largest mosque in the UAE, clad in luxury marble and gold, it is designed to accommodate more than 40,000 worshippers.

The tour covers a variety of interesting highlights. To begin with we visit the Heritage village which provides a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of how life was, before oil was first found.

We drive past the “Emirates Palace”, an enchanting landmark that’s a wonder to behold for all who venture through its magnificent gates. The world famous hotel boasts 302 Grand rooms and 92 magnificent suites, each combining the ultimate in luxury, with state of the art technology.

On our way back we drive through the Yas and Saadiyat Islands, where we stop at the Manarat Al Saadiyat, literally meaning “a place that provides enlightenment” in Arabic. Its a purpose‐built 15,400 sqm visitor centre, designed to bring the vision of the islands alive. Following this we drive through Yas island passing the world famous Yas Marina Circuit, home of the Formula 1 Race, and Ferrari World.

Overall a wonderful encounter with a bustling metropolis, which still maintains the charms of a bygone era.

What to Remember

Dress code at the mosque: Visitors must be dressed appropriately upon arrival. Please wear modest, conservative, comfortable clothing such as longsleeved shirts, long pants, and long skirts. Do not wear transparent clothing, shorts, tight clothing, swimming costumes, or beachwear. Skirts must be ankle length.

You must remove your shoes before entering the mosque. Women must wear a headscarf.

Intimate behavior, such as holding hands or kissing, is forbidden in a Muslim house of worship. Smoking and eating are not allowed in the entire mosque area.

Guests will be welcomed with traditional hospitality, with drinks and snacks, as well as traditional music. A number of traditional Bedouin tents will showcase a range of crafts, including Henna, and gifts for our guests.

A charming desert oasis that has been originally known as a stop on a caravan trail since time that long, that even the desert can’t speak about. Today Al Ain is a garden city and the second largest in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

What to Expect

Al Ain, located in the Eastern part of the Emirate Abu Dhabi, is situated in an opulent terrain, dotted with abundant groundwater springs. In the past, this ‘oasis town’ used to be a necessary stop‐over on the caravan trail from the United Arab Emirates to the Sultanate of Oman and vice versa.

Before proceeding to the historical museum, we drive past the seat of education in the United Arab Emirates – the Al Ain University, which was established in 1977. The museum was built in the gardens surrounding an old fort which was built around the turn of the century. It is said that the late Sheikh Zayed, the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and the President of the UAE, spent a part of his childhood growing up there. The Museum has both Ethnographical and Archeological section.

After, step back into the past, with a walk through the truly enchanting oasis where we have the opportunity to see an excellent example of “falaj” – the ancient irrigation system.

Next we visit the Hili Gardens and the amazing archeological sights where a village settlement and a burial ground dating back to over 2700 BC have been unearthed.

This tour covers one of the country’s only remaining camel markets where it is possible to choose and buy one at a bargain!

Al Ain Zoo

Founded in 1968 by the late Sheikh Zayed, the Father of our nation, Al Ain Zoo is a true family destination, providing entertainment and learning experiences in a natural outdoor environment.

Today, visitors of all ages discover the zoo’s wildlife and enjoy a great day out packed with fun and adventure, and explore our large animal collection of over 4,000 animals.

What to Expect

Climb aboard a double‐decker dhow in Abu Dhabi Marina (opposite the Marina Mall) and cruise along the Corniche Creek of Abu Dhabi while feasting on a menu of Arabian cuisine.

Enjoy a red carpet welcome as you board the traditional style boat at 20:00. Wait staff will show you to your reserved seating.

Relax on the lower deck as a set menu is served according to your tastes. Feast on fresh seafood, and sample charcoal grilled meats.

Soak‐up the romance of the seas as you cruise along the creek from Abu Dhabi Marina. The dhow offers privacy for romantic couples, and a family friendly atmosphere for everyone else.

What to Expect

Dubai, the second largest Emirate, is the UAE’s commercial center and is proudly referred to as the “City of Merchants”. Dubai offers a fascinating kaleidoscope of contrasts – the old and new, the East and the West. Experience a variety of sights and scents of the Orient in a cosmopolitan setting. A tantalizing introduction to the Arabian Gulf.

The tour takes us to a variety of interesting attractions. A photo stop in front of the iconic Burj Al Arab the world famous hotel.

From there we drive to the Jumeirah Mosque – a magnificent example of modern Islamic architecture. We drive past the ruler’s palace and the Bastakia area – the oldest part of the city with its tall wind towers, which in bygone days, served as airconditioners.

The journey through the city center covers popular landmarks including the Dubai Museum, housed in the 18th century Al Fahidi Fort. The Museum features realistic displays with sound effects, depicting various scenes of years gone by. This provides a fascinating glimpse of the historical links of the city which started as a port for trading and pearl diving. Enroute we pass by the ancient beautifully restored house of Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum, built in a commanding position near the mouth of the Creek at Shindagha.

We then enjoy a ride across the dazzling Dubai Creek in an ‘Abra’ a traditional water taxi, watching the diverse, bustling activities on the waterfront before moving to the Deira side of Dubai.

This is followed by a visit to the aromatic spice souq and the extensive gold souq where you can treat that ‘someone special’ to exquisite gold and diamond jewellery. With over 400 shops to choose from you are guaranteed a special deal!

Trip includes a drive to the Palm Island, an artificially constructed island in Dubai. The shape of the island is of a palm tree, topped with a crescent, and has a large number of residential, leisure and entertainment centers. The Palm Island is located off the coast of The United Arab Emirates in the Persian Gulf and adds 520 kilometer of beaches to the city.

We will also visit the Dubai Fountains, set on the 30‐acre Burj Khalifa Lake, the fountain shoots water jets as high as 500 ft (150 metres), equivalent to that of a 50‐storey building. The fountain is 900 ft (275 metres) long and has five circles of varying sizes and two central arcs. It has been designed by California‐based WET, the creators of the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Guests can also view the iconic Burj Khalifa and there will be an opportunity to take photos.
Finally we will visit the Global Village, Dubai’s premier cultural, entertainment, family and shopping destination featuring exhibitions and experiences celebrating the world’s cultures.
